I must say that I just love this weather. We've been spoiled this year with an incredibly hot and long Indian summer. It seemed as though every weekend I said to myself, "we can't possibly have another weekend this good." But we did, again and again.

I suppose it might still be a hangover from my school years, but the transition from summer to winter (and winter to summer for that matter) leaves me feeling revived and alive. I just love getting all cozied up in my warmest jacket and going for long strolls in the fields and along the beach with my dog.

Writing-wise, I worked mostly on a book project about a town near where I live. A group of citizens is organizing the project, and I am responsible for doing a feature on the history of law in the town. Fun project, lots of interesting characters (and they're real!). I hope to wrap this project up in the next couple of weeks.

I need to refocus on my WIP. Christmas shopping, work deadlines, and household duties are keeping me away from my writing. Maybe I should write a book called "1001 Excuses." Bet it'd be a bestseller.
